المركز الوطني والمجلس الأعلى لحقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة يبحثان سبل تعزيز الحق في الصحة للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة

في ضوء العمل التشاركي بين المركز الوطني لحقوق الإنسان والمجلس الأعلى لحقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، تم عقد اجتماع تشاوري في مقر المركز لمناقشة سبل تعزيز واقع الحق في الصحة للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، في ضوء رصد المركز للقطاع الصحي في المملكة، بما في ذلك ضمان توفير جميع الترتيبات التيسيرية وإمكانية الوصول للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة. كما تم بحث السبل اللازمة للقيام بأنشطة مشتركة تهدف إلى رفع القدرات في التعامل مع الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، بالإضافة إلى مسائل أخرى سيتم العمل عليها بصورة تخصصية.

وحضر اللقاء من المجلس الأعلى لحقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة المهندس رأفت الزيتاوي، مستشار إمكانية الوصول ومدير مديرية تكافؤ الفرص، والسيد أسامة المساعفة، مدير مديرية تطوير القدرات والأبحاث والدراسات.

وفي هذا السياق، أكدت مفوضة الحماية في المركز الوطني، الدكتورة نهلا المومني، على أهمية الشراكة والتعاون والتنسيق الدائم مع المجلس الأعلى لحقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، بما يضمن تعزيز وحماية حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، وفقًا لما كفله الدستور الأردني والمعايير الدولية لحقوق الإنسان والتشريعات الوطنية. كما شددت على الولاية الرصدية المستمرة للمركز في متابعة أوضاع حقوق الإنسان، بما في ذلك حقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، والعمل التشاركي مع كافة الجهات المعنية للنهوض بها.

The National Centre for Human Rights and the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Discuss Ways to Enhance the Right to Health for Persons with Disabilities
As part of the collaborative efforts between the National Centre for Human Rights and the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, a consultative meeting was held at the Centre’s headquarters to discuss ways to enhance the right to health for persons with disabilities. This discussion was based on the Centre’s monitoring of the healthcare sector in the country, including ensuring the provision of all necessary accessibility arrangements and facilities for persons with disabilities. The meeting also explored the necessary means to conduct joint activities aimed at enhancing capacities in dealing with persons with disabilities, in addition to other specialized issues that will be addressed moving forward.

The meeting was attended by Engineer Raafat Al-Zaytawi, Accessibility Advisor and Director of the Directorate of Equal Opportunities, and Mr. Osama Al-Masaafa, Director of the Directorate of Capacity Development, Research, and Studies at the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

In this context, the Protection Commissioner at the National Centre for Human Rights, Dr. Nahla Momani, emphasized the importance of partnership, cooperation, and continuous coordination with the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities to ensure the promotion and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities. This commitment aligns with the guarantees provided by the Jordanian Constitution, international human rights standards, and national legislation. She also reaffirmed the Centre’s ongoing monitoring mandate to track human rights conditions, including the rights of persons with disabilities, and to work collaboratively with all relevant stakeholders to further advance these rights.
