يؤكد المركز الوطني لحقوق الإنسان في الأردن دعمه الكامل لموقف جلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني الرافض بشكل قاطع لأي محاولات لتهجير الفلسطينيين من قطاع غزة أو أي منطقة أخرى، باعتبار ذلك انتهاكًا صارخًا للقانون الدولي الإنساني وحقوق الإنسان.
ويشدد المركز على أن التهجير القسري يُعدّ جريمة بموجب اتفاقية جنيف الرابعة لعام 1949، وانتهاكًا مباشرًا للحق في السكن والأمن والحياة الكريمة، كما أنه يهدد استقرار المنطقة بأكملها. ويؤكد أن أي محاولات لفرض حلول تتجاهل حقوق الشعب الفلسطيني، وعلى رأسها حقه في تقرير المصير، تمثل خرقًا للقرارات الدولية، لا سيما قرار الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة رقم 194.
وفي هذا الإطار، يشيد المركز بالموقف الثابت والواضح لجلالة الملك عبد الله الثاني، الذي أكد رفض الأردن القاطع لأي مشاريع تهدف إلى فرض واقع جديد على حساب حقوق الفلسطينيين. ويعكس هذا الموقف التزام الأردن التاريخي بحماية الحقوق المشروعة للشعب الفلسطيني، والتأكيد على ضرورة احترام القانون الدولي ورفض أي سياسات من شأنها تعميق معاناة الفلسطينيين أو تقويض فرص تحقيق السلام العادل والدائم.
ويحذر المركز من التداعيات الإنسانية الكارثية لأي عمليات تهجير قسري، داعيًا المجتمع الدولي إلى تحمل مسؤولياته القانونية والأخلاقية في حماية المدنيين الفلسطينيين ومنع أي إجراءات تهدف إلى تغيير البنية الديموغرافية للمنطقة بالقوة.
كما يدعو المركز الدول والمنظمات الدولية إلى:
اتخاذ موقف حازم ضد أي محاولات لفرض التهجير القسري على الفلسطينيين.
إلزام إسرائيل بالتقيد بالقانون الدولي ووقف الانتهاكات المستمرة بحق الفلسطينيين.
دعم جهود الأردن وجلالة الملك في حماية حقوق الفلسطينيين ومنع أي تغيير قسري في أوضاعهم السكانية والجغرافية.
التحرك الفوري لضمان إيصال المساعدات الإنسانية إلى قطاع غزة ووقف الانتهاكات التي يتعرض لها المدنيون.
Statement Issued by the National Centre for Human Rights
The National Centre for Human Rights: We Reject Forced Displacement and Reaffirm Our Support for His Majesty the King’s Position
The National Centre for Human Rights in Jordan affirms its full support for the position of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who has categorically rejected any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from the Gaza Strip or any other area, considering such actions a blatant violation of international humanitarian law and human rights.
The Centre stresses that forced displacement constitutes a crime under the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 and is a direct violation of the rights to housing, security, and a dignified life. It also poses a serious threat to the stability of the entire region. Furthermore, any attempts to impose solutions that disregard the rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them their right to self-determination, constitute a violation of international resolutions, particularly UN General Assembly Resolution 194.
In this context, the Centre commends the firm and clear stance of His Majesty King Abdullah II, who has reiterated Jordan’s unequivocal rejection of any plans aimed at imposing a new reality at the expense of Palestinian rights. This position reflects Jordan’s historical commitment to safeguarding the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and underscores the need to uphold international law and reject policies that would deepen Palestinian suffering or undermine prospects for a just and lasting peace.
The Centre warns of the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of any forced displacement operations and calls on the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities in protecting Palestinian civilians and preventing any measures that seek to alter the demographic composition of the region by force.
Additionally, the Centre urges countries and international organizations to:
Take a firm stance against any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians.
Ensure that Israel complies with international law and ceases its ongoing violations against Palestinians.
Support Jordan and His Majesty the King’s efforts to protect Palestinian rights and prevent any forced demographic or geographic changes.
Take immediate action to ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and halt the violations affecting civilians.
