The National Centre for Human Rights held a training course on Sunday and Monday, 25–26 October 2026, for a group of Ministry of Education teachers in Ain Al-Basha District. The course formed part of the Centre’s efforts to raise human rights awareness, promote a culture of human rights within educational institutions, and strengthen teachers’ capacity to integrate human rights concepts into the educational process.
The course included a series of training sessions covering human rights concepts and fundamental principles, the Centre’s role in protecting and promoting human rights, and the importance of incorporating these concepts into school curricula to instil the values of equality, justice, and respect for human dignity among students.
The sessions also focused on teachers’ role in promoting a culture of human rights within schools and strengthening educational practices based on respect for rights, fulfilment of duties, equal opportunities, and non-discrimination. These practices help create a safe and inclusive learning environment that respects students’ rights and encourages their active participation in the learning process.
Discussions addressed the importance of teachers’ educational role in translating human rights principles into everyday practices within schools, raising students’ awareness of their rights and responsibilities, and fostering a culture of dialogue, tolerance, and respect for others.
The course is part of the Centre’s efforts to strengthen cooperation with the Ministry of Education and develop the capacities of educational staff. These efforts reflect the vital role of schools in building human rights awareness among younger generations and embedding a culture of human rights as a fundamental pillar of a society grounded in respect for human dignity and the rule of law.
