Visiting Researcher

In accordance with the mandate of the National Centre for Human Rights under Law No. (15) of 2006 and its amendments, which includes conducting legal, political, social, educational, and intellectual studies and research related to the objectives of this national institution,

First: Objectives of the Visiting Researcher Program

  • Promote scientific research in various fields of human rights.
  • Facilitate the exchange of ideas between researchers at the National Centre for Human Rights and visiting researchers.
  • Support research collaboration between the National Centre for Human Rights, universities, civil society organizations, national and international human rights institutions, and researchers’ respective institutions.
  • Encourage local, regional, and international networking on human rights issues and topics.
  • Strengthen engagement with researchers and academics while enhancing research depth through participation in relevant local, regional, and international activities.

Second: Admission Requirements

  • Cooperate with researchers at the National Centre for Human Rights in areas related to their research interests.
  • Adhere to the library borrowing regulations of the Centre.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of information and data provided by the Centre, ensuring they are used solely for academic research purposes.
  • Provide the National Centre for Human Rights with a copy of the completed study or research upon its finalization.

Third: Application Procedure for the Visiting Researcher Program

Each visiting researcher application must include the following:

  • Applicant’s CV (Curriculum Vitae).
  • Title of the research study.
  • An official letter from the institution the visiting researcher represents.
  • Applicant’s details, including:
  • NName
  • NNationality
  • NAge
  • NInstitution/Organization/University
  • NCountry
  • NOccupation
  • NAcademic Degree
  • NCurrent research areas and academic interests
  • NSummary of the applicant’s academic contributions
  • NProposed research activities during the visit
  • NRelevance of the proposed visit to the objectives of the Visiting Researcher Program
