The National Center for Human Rights  (NCHR) is a national institution of public benefit that enjoys financial and administrative independence and possesses legal personality. It discharges its mandate and carries out all activities relating to human rights — including monitoring and the receipt of complaints — in full independence, pursuant to Law No. (51) of 2006 , as amended. The Center holds “A” status accreditation from the Sub-Committee on Accreditation of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions (GANHRI).
