Amman – A delegation from the National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), headed by Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, lawyer Khaldoun Al-Nsour, and including H.E. Commissioner-General for Human Rights Jamal Al-Shamayleh and Board member Dr. Mohammad Al-Tarawneh, visited the condolence house of fallen Public Security Corporal Jawad Al-Salaytah in Mushairfeh Al-Salaytah village, in the Umm ar-Rasas District, to extend condolences and sympathy to his family and relatives.
The delegation expressed profound sorrow over the death of Corporal Al-Salaytah, who lost his life while performing his national duty as a member of the Public Security Directorate, following a terrorist attack in the capital, Amman, on Thursday, 5 November 2026.
The delegation reaffirmed the NCHR’s solidarity with the fallen officer’s family, relatives, and colleagues in the Public Security Directorate, stressing that attacks on the right to life and personal security constitute grave violations of human rights and an assault on the human and national values upon which Jordanian society is founded.
The Centre reiterated its unequivocal condemnation of terrorism in all its forms, emphasising the importance of strengthening national efforts to confront extremist ideologies and hate speech, and promoting a culture of human rights, tolerance, citizenship, and the rule of law to safeguard society and reinforce national unity and cohesion.
The visit reflects the NCHR’s solidarity with the family of the fallen officer and its appreciation of the sacrifices made by Public Security personnel in protecting the nation’s security and the safety of its citizens.
The delegation extended its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the fallen officer’s family and tribe, praying that Allah grant him His infinite mercy, admit him into Paradise, and provide his family and loved ones with patience and solace.
May Allah protect Jordan and its people, and preserve the nation’s security, stability, and Hashemite leadership from all harm.
