Communications and Media Unit

The Communications and Media Unit works to:

  • Develop a communication strategy, including the design and implementation of targeted media campaigns on selected human rights issues, aimed at raising awareness and promoting positive change.
  • Collect and disseminate information and news related to human rights issues, and design and produce awareness raising materials such as publications, videos, website content, and social media outputs, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of all published information.
  • Liaise with media outlets to convey official statements from the Center’s spokesperson on its positions, and organize press conferences and media interviews to explain and clarify human rights issues.
  • Implement activities and measures to promote and strengthen the Center’s institutional identity and ensure its sustainability, including organizing conferences and seminars aimed at raising public awareness, fostering a human rights culture in society, and enhancing related knowledge, skills, and values, as well as following up on their outcomes and recommendations.
  • liaise with media outlets and build strong relationships with local and international media organizations.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the Center on effective engagement with the media and the public to promote its message and achieve its objectives.
