Ministry of Health Delegation Visits The National Centre for Human Rights to Follow Up on Health Sector Recommendations

A delegation from the Ministry of Health visited the National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) to further strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two institutions and to follow up on the implementation of the Centre’s recommendations related to the health sector.

The delegation included Dr. Maha Al-Jahawsha, Chairperson of the committee established by the Ministry of Health to follow up on the Centre’s reports and recommendations concerning the health sector; Dr. Taha Ghanem, a member of the committee; and the Ministry’s liaison officer with the Centre.

During the meeting, Dr. Nahla Al-Momani, Commissioner for Protection and Head of the Centre’s Recommendations Follow-up Team, emphasized the importance of the Ministry’s responses regarding the implementation of the Centre’s recommendations on the right to health. She noted that the Centre monitors implementation through periodic follow-up visits and commended the Ministry of Health for its continued cooperation across various areas. She also highlighted the significance of the circular issued by the Prime Minister at the end of 2025, which calls upon the relevant authorities to follow up on the Centre’s recommendations and develop the necessary implementation plans.

In this context, the Centre highlighted its newly adopted approach to monitoring the recommendations contained in its annual reports. The approach is based on systematic follow-up with the relevant authorities through the development of implementation plans with clear timelines and measurable performance indicators. To support this process, the Centre has held a series of consultative meetings with the concerned institutions to establish implementation frameworks, review the proposed plans, and receive regular updates on implementation progress.

The Centre continues to monitor implementation through ongoing observation and follow-up, contributing to the effective implementation of its recommendations and enabling the assessment of progress achieved.
