The National Centre for Human Rights Conducts Training Course on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Ajloun

The National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), through the Promotion Commissioner/Training Department, conducted a training course on the rights of persons with disabilities based on a human rights-based approach at the Change Brokers Center for Sustainable Development in Ajloun Governorate, with the participation of 20 members of the local community.
The course aimed to raise awareness of the rights of persons with disabilities and introduce participants to the human rights-based approach and relevant rights-based terminology, as well as strengthen their knowledge of effective communication with persons with disabilities.
The training also addressed the rights of persons with disabilities under international conventions and relevant national legislation, in addition to the role of the National Centre for Human Rights in promoting and protecting the rights of persons with disabilities.
The course forms part of the NCHR’s efforts to promote a culture of human rights and reinforce a human rights-based approach to issues concerning persons with disabilities. It also seeks to raise awareness among local communities of these rights and of the State’s obligations under relevant international conventions and national legislation.
