The National Centre for Human Rights Holds Training Workshop on Jordan’s National Youth Plan and UN Security Council Resolution 2250

The National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, held a training workshop in Mafraq Governorate on Monday, 24 August 2026, on Jordan’s National Youth Plan for the implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security.
The workshop addressed a number of awareness-raising and training topics related to young people’s rights and their role in promoting peace, security, and community participation. It also introduced participants to UN Security Council Resolution 2250 and highlighted its importance in promoting youth participation and empowerment and strengthening the role of young people in building safe, peaceful, and stable communities.
During the workshop, Mr. Rami Al-Hashem delivered an awareness-raising session on the Cybercrime Law, outlining its key provisions and highlighting the importance of raising awareness of the risks associated with the use of social media and digital platforms, as well as promoting the safe and responsible use of the digital environment.
Mr. Omar Bani Mustafa also provided an overview of the National Centre for Human Rights, its role and mandate in protecting and promoting human rights, and the objectives and key pillars of UN Security Council Resolution 2250 relating to youth, peace, and security.
The workshop forms part of the National Centre for Human Rights’ ongoing efforts to strengthen human rights awareness among young people and support their meaningful participation in national and community affairs, thereby contributing to the promotion of human rights principles and strengthening the role of youth in building a safer, more peaceful, and stable future.
