Her Excellency the Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, President of the Asia Pacific Forum, and member of the Executive Committee of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions, Ms. Samar Haj Hasan, accompanied by the Director of the International Relations and Communications Department, Dr. Nidal Maqableh, is participating in the Executive Committee meeting of the Alliance, held in the Georgian capital, Tbilisi, from 3–4 December 2025.
The meeting discusses a number of important strategic issues, most notably the review of reports submitted by the Chair of the Alliance and regional chairs on achievements, challenges, and current priorities in the field of human rights, in addition to examining governance matters, institutional development, and the work plans of the Alliance’s working groups.
The meeting also includes updates from the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), as well as discussions of reports from the Sub-Committee on Accreditation (SCA), including the review of general observations and decisions on several accreditation cases concerning national institutions in various countries.

The meeting further examines the proposed work plan and budget for 2026, in addition to discussing the theme of next year’s annual meeting of the Alliance, knowledge-exchange programmes, and updates regarding the International Conference of the Global Alliance of National Human Rights Institutions.
This participation reaffirms the active presence of the National Centre for Human Rights in international forums concerned with human rights and its prominent role in supporting global efforts aimed at the promotion and protection of human rights.
