Amman – The National Center for Human Rights (NCHR) announced that it has established a fully equipped operations room to monitor and observe the elections of governorate councils, municipal councils, and the Greater Amman Municipality Council.
The Center stated that the operations room began its work on the first day the Independent Election Commission announced the polling date, on the eighth of this month. It will continue monitoring all stages of the electoral process, up to election day, scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, the 22nd of this month, as well as the post-election stages.
In a press statement, the Center announced that it had completed all necessary preparations for monitoring the electoral process and developed an action plan for observers and liaison officers who will be deployed to polling stations across various cities, districts, and governorates of the Kingdom.
The observers and liaison officers will provide the operations room with their monitoring findings on an ongoing basis, allowing the Center to follow up with the relevant authorities and issue reports and press statements accordingly.
The Center’s statement further indicated that the operations room will also receive citizens’ complaints and observations regarding the conduct of the electoral process through the dedicated hotline 0798866884, as well as the landline numbers 065932257, 065930072, and 065920396.
The Center will follow up on these complaints and observations and document them in its reports and official statements.
