Irbid – The National Center for Human Rights conducted a training course targeting teachers in Irbid Governorate / Northern Al Mazar District, aimed at enhancing awareness of human rights concepts, the Center’s roles, and monitoring and documentation mechanisms, in addition to developing teachers’ skills in this field.
The training was opened with remarks delivered by the Head of the Awareness and Training Unit at the Center, lawyer Omar Bani Mustafa, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the important role of teachers in promoting a culture of human rights within the school environment, considering them key partners in building a generation that is aware of its rights and duties.
The training program included several main topics, most notably: general concepts of human rights, the International Bill of Human Rights, the role of the National Center for Human Rights, integrating human rights concepts into school curricula, and the role of teachers in promoting a culture of human rights and education, in addition to practical sessions on interview skills and handling complaints.
This training comes as part of the Center’s plans aimed at raising awareness across various governorates of the Kingdom and building the capacities of actors in the educational field, in a way that positively reflects on students and the overall educational process.
