Statement Issued by the National Centre for Human Rights on the Occasion of the 80th Independence Day of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
With feelings of pride and honor, the National Centre for Human Rights extends its highest congratulations and blessings to His Hashemite Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, and to His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, as well as to all members of the one Jordanian family, on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the independence of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. We pray to Almighty God to protect Jordan and its wise Hashemite leadership, and to continue blessing our nation with security, stability, and prosperity.
The 80th anniversary of the Kingdom’s independence represents a historic and shining national milestone in the journey of the modern Jordanian state. On this occasion, we proudly recall the sacrifices and achievements made by the Hashemites, together with the loyal Jordanian people, in building a state of institutions and the rule of law, and in consolidating the values of justice, human dignity, and active citizenship.
On this cherished national occasion, the National Centre for Human Rights affirms that the path of modernization and reform led by His Majesty the King in the political, economic, and administrative fields constitutes a fundamental pillar for strengthening the human rights system and public freedoms, and for consolidating the principles of justice, equality, and equal opportunities, in line with the provisions of the Jordanian Constitution and the Kingdom’s national and international obligations.
The Centre also renews its firm commitment to continuing its national and constitutional role in protecting and promoting human rights, spreading a culture of rights and freedoms, and consolidating the values of pluralism and respect for human dignity, stemming from its national mission and responsibility in supporting the journey of the Jordanian state during its second centenary.
As Jordanians celebrate this precious national occasion, the Centre prays to Almighty God that Jordan remains a model of moderation, the rule of law, and respect for human rights, and that it continues its steadfast journey toward further progress and prosperity.
May God protect Jordan, proud and steadfast, and may ourcountry, leadership, and people remain in prosperity and well-being every year.
