The National Centre for Human Rights (NCHR), in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth, conducted an awareness-raising session on Sunday, 18 October 2026, at the Wadi Al-Karak Youth Centre for Young Men and Women in Karak Governorate.
The session addressed United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace and Security, highlighting the importance of strengthening young people’s participation in building safe, stable communities.
The session also introduced participants to the NCHR’s role in protecting and promoting human rights and raising awareness of human rights principles and values. In addition, it addressed the Cybercrime Law, the safe and responsible use of social media, and the potential legal consequences of its misuse.
The session emphasised the importance of empowering young people with legal and human rights knowledge, strengthening their role in promoting a culture of human rights, and encouraging their active participation in public life, thereby contributing to the promotion of citizenship values and the rule of law.
This activity was organised as part of the NCHR’s Promotion Commission initiatives aimed at disseminating a culture of human rights, strengthening human rights awareness among young people, and encouraging their participation in society.
