Zarqa – The National Centre for Human Rights conducted a training course for teachers in Zarqa Governorate aimed at enhancing awareness of human rights concepts, the Centre’s roles, and monitoring and documentation mechanisms, in addition to developing teachers’ skills in this field.
The course opened with remarks delivered by the Head of the Awareness and Training Unit at the Centre, lawyer Omar Bani Mustafa, who welcomed the participants and emphasized the important role teachers play in promoting a culture of human rights within the school environment, considering them key partners in building a generation aware of its rights and responsibilities.
The training program covered several key themes, most notably: general concepts of human rights, the International Bill of Human Rights, the role of the National Centre for Human Rights, and monitoring and documentation mechanisms, in addition to practical sessions on interview skills and handling complaints.
This course comes as part of the Centre’s efforts to raise awareness across the Kingdom’s governorates and to build the capacities of actors in the educational field, contributing positively to students and the overall educational process.
