As part of its ongoing efforts to follow up on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the Twenty-First Annual Report on the State of Human Rights in the Kingdom for 2024, the National Centre for Human Rights, in partnership with the Office of the Government Coordinator for Human Rights, held a specialized consultative session on Wednesday, 11/2/2026. The session aimed to discuss the latest developments related to the implementation of the recommendations, review upcoming frameworks for action, and explore mechanisms to enhance coordination and integration among the concerned entities.
The session was attended by Mr. Jamal Al-Shamayleh, Commissioner General for Human Rights; Dr. Nahla Al-Momani, Commissioner for Protection; and Mr. Moath Al-Momani, Government Coordinator for Human Rights.
Participating entities included the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, the Jordan Food and Drug Administration, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Social Development, the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice, the Media Commission, and the Ministry of Labour.
The session aimed to review the progress achieved in implementing the recommendations, discuss the challenges facing implementation, and explore ways to strengthen joint institutional action in line with national and international human rights standards.
Among the key outcomes of the meeting was the agreement to provide the National Centre for Human Rights with periodic reports every three months, outlining the main achievements and ongoing measures related to the implementation of the recommendations, thereby contributing to institutionalizing and consolidating the Centre’s follow-up approach.
